Kate Urell joins EQI

EQI is delighted to welcome Ms. Kate Urell to our team. An experienced school leader and researcher Kate will help embed the viewpoint of the practicing teacher and leader in the work of EQI.

Kate Urell is a graduate of UCD (B.Sc. and H. Dip. in Education), Rathmines College (Dip. In Legal Studies) and of DCU (M.Sc.). She has taught Physics, Maths, Chemistry, and Applied Maths in Fingal Community College in Swords, Co. Dublin since 1991. Kate is an Assistant Principal and has worked with the Science Foundation of Ireland, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, the State Examination Commission, and the Project Maths Team. She was an Academic Vice Principal in Abu Dhabi, UAE (2013-2015). She also taught in St. Kilian’s Community School, Bray, Co. Wicklow (1989-1991).

We are greatly looking forward to working with Kate and to drawing on her extensive experience as a teacher, school leader and researcher.
