DCU Shaped Professional Learning Network Welcomes guests from Russia, Spain and Ukraine

A meeting of the DCU Shaped Professional Learning Network held on Friday, October 23rd, was delighted to welcome colleagues from the Ukraine, Russia and Spain to discuss issues relating to leadership, evaluation and the challenges posed by the current pandemic.

Led by EQI Research Director, Dr. Martin Brown and EQI Researcher Dr. Paddy Shevlin, the meeting saw over 40 committed educational leaders from Northern Ireland and beyond share their own experiences of working in a networked structure to help develop their schools capacities. Speaking after the meeting Dr. Brown paid tribute to the commitment and engagement of all of the school leaders involved stating that:

Under the leadership of Dr. Paddy Shevlin the DCU Shaped Professional Learning Network has become a vibrant, challenging, supportive and self-sustaining community of educational professionals who are seeking to improve the quality of education throughout Northern Ireland. We will delighted today to welcome colleagues from Russia, The Ukraine and Spain to our group and to share with each other insights and ideas about the leadership of schools.
