Over the past number of months EQI researchers have been active in a variety of media settings.

Dr. Denise Burns addressed the issue of Critical Thinking in State Exams in an article published by the Irish Times ( see http://www.irishtimes.com/news/education/leaving-cert-by-rote-critical-thinking-seen-as-vital-skill-1.2805249)
Research by Dr. Bernadette Sweetman on Godparenthood in Ireland was quoted extensively in a piece published in the Irish Examiner entitled ‘Faith influences parents’ choice for godparents’ ( see http://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/faith-influences-parents-choice-fo…). Dr. Sweetman also spoke about her research on Radio Kerry with Deirdre Walsh (http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/player/podcasts/5/item/65976 )
Senior Research Fellow, Dr. Kevin Williams, has published a number of articles in the national media on education related themes. In December the Irish Times Rite and Reason column published an article of his on Spiritual Moments in Secular Life (http://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/rite-reason-spiritual-moments-in-secular-life-1.2938726#.WH1xwOphdNo.twitter).
