DCU 2019 Presidents Awards for Research
The DCU President's Awards for Research, which took place on May 1st, saw five of the university's academic staff honoured for contributions in the diverse fields of dementia, climate change, data-journalism and information technologies.
Among the recipients was Dr Gabriel-Miro Muntean, Associate Professor in the School of Electronic Engineering, who was recognised, in the category of Natural Sciences, Health Engineering and related areas, for his contribution to research in the fields of adaptive multimedia and multisensorial networking, performance and energy-aware data communications in IoT networks and performance-aware technology-enhanced learning.
We congratulate Gabriel on this recognition of his outstanding to contribution to research and wish him continued success in his work as co-Director of the DCU Performance Engineering Laboratory, as well as projects under the auspices of Enterprise Ireland, the European Union and Science Foundation Ireland.
