Lessons from the Financial Trenches" Guest Lectures Series - Liam Buckley, Associate Director in the Regulatory Advisory Division, KPMG Ireland

DCU Business School was delighted to welcome Liam Buckley , Associate Director in the Regulatory Advisory division at KPMG Ireland to DCU Business School to present to the MSc in Finance class. This presentation was a part of the programme’s on-going collaboration with the financial industry in the Guest Lecture Series the "Lessons from the Financial Trenches".

Mr Buckley talk was titled “Towards Basel III and CRD IV: Key Risk Modelling Principles and Implications for Risk Capital Management" and focused on the developments in International regulation surrounding how banks take risks, what and how much risk they are allowed to take and what provisions they must make to minimize the risk of financial instability.
