Focus Ireland addresses B.A. in Accounting & Finance students

In keeping with DCU’s commitment to engage with social enterprises, Mr. Mark Byrne, Finance Director of Focus Ireland, came to DCU Business School to speak to second year B.A. in Accounting and Finance students. Drawing on his extensive commercial experience he discussed with them the challenges facing the not-for-profit sector in the current economic climate and the importance, now more than ever, of good corporate governance practices to this sector. He also shared with them the vital role that timely and reliable accounting information plays in organisations like Focus Ireland and how they, as accounting students, can get involved in these organisations.
