DCUBS Malaysian Entrepreneurship Programme Graduation

Congratulations to our Malaysian Educators Graduated from DCUBS Entrepreneurship Programme

Ten Malaysian polytechnic lecturers have graduated from the pilot of a unique Entrepreneurship Programme delivered by DCU Business School Centre for Executive Programmes at the request of the Malaysian Ministry for Higher Education. Mr CiarĂ¡n Cannon TD, Minister for Training & Skills and HE Ambassador Dato' Ramli Naam were present at the special graduation ceremony on campus.

The initiative is part of a Malaysian government policy to encourage entrepreneurship by providing relevant skills throughout their third level education system. Along with organised digital marketing training held in DCU Business School, the Malaysian lecturers were involved in a team-based consulting project with Enterprise Ireland who are developing a market entry strategy for Malaysia, along with a series of planned site visits to companies throughout Ireland and engagements with bodies such as DCU Invent and County Enterprise Boards.

Dr John McMackin, Director of Executive & International Education at DCU Business School said, "It has been a privilege to work with this group of Malaysian educators for the past three months. They have enriched our community with their warmth, good humour and wonderfully positive attitudes throughout this learning experience. They take back a strong foundation in Entrepreneurship education to share with their colleagues and students in Malaysia, and we have learned a lot from them as well.
