DCU Business School Junior Certificate Awards

Dublin City University Business School held its Second Annual Junior Certificate Business Studies award ceremony this evening to recognise the achievements of the top performers in the Dublin area in the Junior Certificate Business Studies exams, 2011.


All winning students, schools, and teachers were presented with a certificate of achievement by the President of DCU, Professor Brian MacCraith.

The audience of parents, teachers and principals, were also addressed by by Mary O’Sullivan, President of the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland, and Ed Leamy, President of the DCU Students Union

Dr. Anne Sinnott, Dean of DCU Business School, said, “We are delighted to take this opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful achievements of the students and their parents, but we would also like to pay particular tribute to the commitment and dedication of their teachers, and schools involved."


Michelle Dennehy, of St. Comcilles Community School, (pictued below), was the winner of this year’s first prize. Meghana Rathi, of Dominican College Sion Hill received the award for second place, and Tara Casey of Loreto Abbey, Dalkey, was awarded third place.
