National Procurement Awards 2011

The National Procurement Awards 2011 took place before a packed audience of the top echelon of Ireland’s procurement professionals, with Richard Curran of RTÉ's Dragons Den and Deputy Editor of The Sunday Business Post presiding over the glittering awards ceremony.

The awards venue was packed with nearly 400 representatives from all over Ireland present to applaud the 77 finalists across 17 categories as the prestigious trophies were handed out to loud cheers from winners and their guests. Beaten finalists were rewarded with a special parchment to mark their success in reaching the finals.

Dr Paul Davis of DCU, and president of the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management gave the key note speech at the event, and was delighted to present Vincent Campbell with the overall Procurement Leader Award. Vincent is a graduate from our the DCU MBS in Strategic Procurement.

Other DCU graduates that fetaured as part of the awards included Paul Behan of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, Sean O Dwyer from the Dublin Airport Authority, and Declan Dullaghan from Vodafone.
