

Visit of Leonie Klaufus
The DCU Centre for Possibility Studies welcomes the visit of Dr. Leonie Klaufus, PhD, Senior Researcher in Child and Adolescent Public Health Research and Innovation in the Department of Public and Occupational Health at Amsterdam UMC. Her research combines Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) and the complex systems approach in co-creating physical and social environmental interventions to improve the physical and mental health of children and adolescents. Her background in both research and art encourages her to lead programmes that combines YPAR, complex systems approach and artivism/artistic methods in research particularly on the mental health of refugee youth. She is working on two EU-funded international research projects – B-Challanged and CONNECTION – which are conducted in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, and in the Netherlands. Her visit will lead to fruitful exchange with researchers from the DCU Centre for Possibility Studies focused on the topics of creativity, agency, activism, and methodological innovation.
