The Centre aims to drive research into the continuum of teacher education, to disseminate this research, and to draw on the research to ensure teacher education is subjected to sustained critique and innovation and to inform policy development, pedagogy and programme development.

Currently, CREATE has 30 members at various stages in their academic careers—from doctoral researchers to a critical mass of experienced researchers and academics. CREATE operates from a platform of inclusivity and collaboration. At our core, we see the support of early researchers as critical to our mission and sustainability.
