DCU CREATE is situated within Ireland’s only full Faculty of Education, DCU Institute of Education. DCU IOE offers a range of postgraduate study routes in education, including PhD studies and the Professional Doctor of Education (EdD) programme. Professional Doctorate students focus their studies in one of the following broad Areas of Professional Focus:

Inclusive and Special Education
Leadership and Evaluation
Professional Learning and Teacher Education

DCU CREATE academic members have supported a large number of EdD and PhD research students in completing their studies, and we are proud to include membership from the current IOE Doctoral Community.

Research Area - School Choice

My current research focuses on the area of parental choice in the Catholic post-primary sector. My research is particularly interested in the experiences of New Irish parents navigating the system and also the role of sport in parental choice of school.
