I undertook the MA in Theology and World Religions at Dublin City University during the 2018 academic year following retirement from a career as both a mental health nurse manager and academic of that profession. I chose the programme because I sought new challenges in a different profession.
The highlights of my postgraduate experience at DCU are the various avenues that have opened as a result of completing the MA, for example the opportunity to undertake a doctorate in theology which I hope to complete in 2024.
My advice to prospective students is not to hesitate in applying for the programme. It will provide the opportunity for your intellectual development in a stimulating collegial environment, the forging of new friendships and opportunities for engagement in fascinating aspects of theology, philosophy and allied disciplines.
