Dr Mary Pryce
Having graduated with a degree in Analytical Science, I have always been interested in photochemistry and inorganic chemistry. Currently, I lead a research group where we focus on renewable energy and new approaches to target antimicrobial resistance.
In my work in addressing climate change, we develop sustainable materials which harvest solar energy to produce hydrogen (sometimes referred to as artificial photosynthesis). Our research helps to solve the problem of energy storage and renewable energy. Another application of the materials developed in our laboratory is to target antimicrobial resistance, as many antibiotics are no longer effective.
