DCU rises 30 places in The Times Higher Young University rankings to 59th in the world
Dublin City University has been ranked 59th in The Times Higher Young University rankings for 2024, having been ranked 89th in 2023. DCU is now the top ranked Young University in Ireland, ahead of Maynooth University, the University of Limerick and Technological University Dublin.
The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world’s best universities that are aged 50 years or under. They aim to highlight a new breed of high-performing universities that have managed to join the world elite over decades rather than centuries, and that have the potential to become the next global academic powerhouses.
Speaking about the rankings, DCU President Professor Daire Keogh said:
DCU’s progress in these rankings, jumping 54 places in a two year period, gives a very clear indicator that the University is delivering on its mission and having a transformative impact on the lives of students, stakeholders and our wider society. Our position, as the leading Young University in Ireland, is a testament to the exceptional commitment and hard work of DCU’s staff in every aspect of what they do, from our world-leading research to the transformative student experience we offer.
