Happy Christmas and New Year

On behalf of all our staff and students, we would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - we have some information regarding visitor access to our three academic campuses during the Christmas period.

Glasnevin Campus

There will be no vehicular access via the Ballymun gate when the university is closed, from close of business Friday 20 December until Thursday, 2 January at 9am. 

Vehicular access to Campus Residences outside of these hours will be via Collins Avenue.  The barrier at the Albert College will be left open. 

Staff who wish to gain access to their office during the Christmas period may do so by contacting Campus Security on 01-7005999, in advance of their arrival. Staff are advised to carry their staff ID cards, should they wish to gain access to their office. Anyone with special requirements during the shutdown period should email helpdesk.estates@dcu.ie before 16 December 2024.

St Patrick’s Campus 

The campus will be closed from Friday 20th December 2024 at 5.30pm until Thursday 2nd January 2025 at 8am. Campus will reopen on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

There are two exceptions: 

Sunday 22nd December -  the main entrance gate will be open for Mass goers from 8.30am to 12.30pm
Christmas Day  - the main entrance gate will be open for Mass goers from 8.30am to 12.30pm

Staff who wish to gain access to their office during the Christmas period may do so by contacting Campus Security on 01-7005999, in advance of their arrival. Staff are advised to carry their staff ID cards, should they wish to gain access to their office. Anyone with special requirements during the shutdown period should email helpdesk.estates@dcu.ie before 16 December 2024.

 

DCU All Hallows

There is no vehicular access onto the All Hallows Campus when closed. 

The campus will be closing at 1pm on Friday 20th December 2024 to Thursday 2nd January 2025

Staff who wish to gain access to their office during the Christmas period may do so by contacting Campus Security on 01-7005999, in advance of their arrival. Staff are advised to carry their staff ID cards, should they wish to gain access to their office. Anyone with special requirements during the shutdown period should email helpdesk.estates@dcu.ie before 16 December 2024.
