October graduations at DCU
Twelve separate ceremonies will take place in the Mahony Hall in The Helix over four days (October 24th - 27th), and feature students from the university’s five faculties; the DCU Business School, the Institute of Education, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science & Health, and the Faculty of Engineering & Computing.
A number of new courses saw students graduate for the first time. From the Business School, Master of Science in Global Management (Digital Disruption) and Master of Science in Management (Insights & Innovation). From Engineering and Computing, Graduate Certificate in Energy Systems and Decarbonisation and Higher Diploma in Engineering Analysis and Technologies, both Springboard courses. From Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and Cultural Innovation (International). And from Science and Health, Master of Science in Elite Sport Performance.
Speaking on the morning of the first ceremony, Prof Daire Keogh, President of Dublin City University said
“This is a special group of DCU graduates. During their time at the University they displayed extraordinary resilience, creativity and determination in the face of the unexpected events that turned our world upside down. They have succeeded and grown, personally and academically, despite the obstacles that the pandemic placed in their path.”

Times Higher Education Subject Rankings 2023
Wednesday 26th of October saw the announcement of the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings 2023, with Dublin City University rising in Arts and Humanities, Business and Economics, Clinical, Pre-Clinical, Health, Computer Science, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences.
Business and Economics is now ranked in the top 150 in the world and Arts and Humanities in the top 200.
This follows on from the recent THE World University Rankings 2023, where DCU was ranked among the top 500 universities in the world.
