Prayer Book Launch

The Meath and Kildare diocesan schools' service took place on 14 May in St Brigid's Cathedral, Kildare. The guest speaker was Jacqui Wilkinson from the Church of Ireland Centre, DCU.

The service included a diocesan school prayer written by Bishop Storey which was read by pupils from St David's NS, Naas.

This prayer is one of the many contributed by primary schools and others for a new primary school assembly collection. A sample booklet of twenty four of these new prayers, edited by Jacqui Wilkinson, was launched after the service by the bishop. It is hoped to publish a fuller collection of prayers later in the year as well as an online resource file.
