Speak Out Tool
Speak Out

Speakout

During your time at DCU, we want to ensure all students have a positive experience and feel safe.  However, sometimes incidents of inappropriate behaviour or misconduct may happen.  The Speak Out tool enables you, as a member of our University community to anonymously disclose incidents of unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct in a way that is safe and secure. As Speak Out is completely anonymous, the University will have no way to identify or make contact with any individual who chooses to submit a report. Additionally, it will direct you to appropriate support and provide you with information on what formal reporting procedures are available to you should you have been the victim of unacceptable behaviour as a member of the DCU Community.

Report and Advice

To anonymously report an incident please access the Speak Out Tool

Financial Wellbeing & Advice
Financial Wellbeing & Advice

There is a cost of living crisis and money doesn’t go as far as it used to. Maybe you don’t qualify for SUSI, maybe you have a part-time job but still don’t have enough to make ends meet, maybe you don’t want to ask your parents for extra money or are juggling family life and your studies.

Financial pressure is a huge trigger for stress and anxiety and we don’t want you worrying in Semester One about budgeting for your fees in Semester Two.

      What Is Care & Connect

      What is Care & Connect?

DCU Care & Connect is a whole-of-university approach that situates national frameworks and initiatives under an overarching DCU Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

It aims to develop a campus environment where students are treated with dignity and respect, where every member of staff feels responsible for student wellbeing and where students watch out for each other and develop meaningful relationships with their peers. It aims to help students understand the importance of self care and the impact a healthy body and mind can have on the quality of their learning, their relationships and their lives.

Our approach was developed in collaboration and conversation with international advisors, national partners, internal colleagues and a large number of students. It incorporates the National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention FrameworkEnding Sexual Violence and Harassment in Higher Education Institutions, Responding to Excessive Alcohol Consumption in Third-Level Institutions (REACT), the Framework for the Response of the Use of Illicit Substances in Higher Education, the Healthy Campus Charter and Framework and the JED Framework.
