Good luck to our DCU Alumni at the Olympics!

Ten DCU alumni athletes are heading to Paris 2024, including one who will become the first Irish woman to compete in five Olympic Games. They join two current students and represent Rugby 7s, boxing, swimming and athletics for Ireland in the games.

DCU Alumni taking part in the games include Jennifer Lehane (Boxing), Andrew Coscoran (Men’s 1500m), Jodie McCann (Women’s 5000m), Sophie Becker (Mixed 4x400m Relay, Women’s 4x400m Relay and Women’s 400m), Brian Fay (Men’s 5000m), Cathal Doyle (Men's 1500m) Kelly McGrory (Women's 4x400m Relay), Erin Riordan (400m Freestyle Swimming) David Harte (Men's Hockey) and Fionnuala McCormack (Women’s Marathon). Fionnuala is also the first Irish woman to compete in five Olympic Games.

Current students Béibhinn Parsons (Women’s Rugby 7s) and Jack Raftery (Athletics) will both compete in the coming fortnight.
