What is U First?

The U First programme supports and upskills 5th & 6th year students from our linked schools who plan to go to university.

Participants will attend monthly workshops and participate in various events during the programme.

Criteria to apply?

You must be in 5th Year and intend to complete the Irish Leaving Certificate.

You must intend on taking at least four higher level subjects & at least ordinary level maths, and have a genuine interest in going to college. Please note that you may be called for an interview as part of the selection process.

Note: If you are in Foster Care, under the care of Tusla (the Child and Family Agency) or are a member of the Traveller Community, we particularly welcome your application. However, you will need to take at least four higher subjects to be eligible for U First.
