DCU Business School awarded contract for "Management 4 Growth" by Enterprise Ireland

The Centre for Executive Programmes at DCU Business School has been awarded a contract by Enterprise Ireland for development and delivery of a new programme, 'Management 4 Growth', which will support SME management teams.

DCU Business School will deliver the educational component of this prestigious programme; the coaching and business advisory element will be provided by the Irish Management Institute. DCU and the IMI will work in partnership with Enterprise Ireland to develop and deliver this programme. 'Management 4 Growth' will develop a cohort of world-class, highly competent and confident SME management teams who can, through the development of the productivity, innovation and competitiveness of their firms, grow their business internationally.

This programme will introduce participating SMEs to best practice approaches to developing, leading and managing their strategy, targets, operations and people. The programme will include a mix of workshops delivered by Irish and International experts along with a sustained period of in-company support facilitated by experienced business advisors and coaches. The programme is targeted at CEOs and senior managers from SMEs and from a range of sectors including: Cleantech, Electronics, Life Sciences, Construction, Engineering, Consumer, Food, Internationally Traded Services and Software. The educational component of the programme will be delivered by DCU Business School academics and some leading international experts. We will also work with Babson College in Boston to deliver some of the innovation and foresight aspects of the programme.

The programme will feature some live case studies that will be facilitated by well known and successful Irish entrepreneurs. We have designed the programme to encapsulate the ethos of the guiding principles of Enterprise Ireland's flagship management development programmes: Inspire, Educate, Coach and Execute.

Each programme will run over a 12 month period with the initial programme expected to commence in November 2011.
