Multiple Success for DCUBS at IAM Annual Conference

DCU Business School enjoyed multiple success at this year's Irish Academy of Management (IAM) Conference, winning three of the four best paper awards.

Professor David Jacobson, Professor of Economics at DCUBS, et al, won the Failte Ireland Award for Best Tourism Paper.

Dr Sarah Ingle, Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at DCUBS, and postgraduate research scholar Ali Ahmad took Best Paper in Entrepreneurship.

Anagreit Jennewein, Ph.D. student under the guidance of Dr Edel Conway, won the best paper presented at the doctoral colloquium.

In addition, Professor Kathy Monks was among the first awards of Fellowship of the Irish Academy of Management. Kathy is Professor of Human Resource Management at DCU Business School and Director of the Learning, Innovation and Knowledge (LInK) Research Centre at DCU.

The Irish Academy of Management (IAM) is the leading professional association for management research and education on the Island of Ireland. The purpose of the Irish Academy of Management isto promote the advancement of research, knowledge, and education in the field of organisation and management studies.

The 12th Annual Conference of the Irish Academy of Management, which was hosted by the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, was themed “Revitalising the Field: Innovation, Rigour and Relevance”
