  I hope the first week of semester went well and you are settled back into the swing of things. The Careers Service e-newsletter is published every week during semester and will bring you the latest news regarding your options following graduation.

  DAAD -Postgraduate scholarships offer for study in Germany 2012/2013

  The Minister for Education and Skills to say that the German Academic Exchange
Services are inviting Irish postgraduate students who wish to apply for
scholarships/grants to apply directly to the DAAD office in London. The office contact

Scholarships are awarded to graduate students from Irish universities to study or
research at any institution of higher education in Germany. Applicants should have a

 PhD Funded Positions in Science Education

  Are you a graduate of Science?
Are you interested in pursuing a PhD in science education?

Funded PhD positions available to pursue projects relating to:
Assessment of science learning
Development of resources for inquiry instruction in Physics and / or Chemistry
Appropriate use of technology in the classroom

These projects will be conducted under the supervision of Dr Eilish McLoughlin
(School of Physical Sciences, DCU) and Dr Odilla Finlayson (School of Chemical
Sciences, DCU).

Graduates in a science discipline who have an interest in science education as well as
graduates with teaching qualifications and/or experience of teaching science are
invited to apply.
