SFI funding of €30 million announced, two major DCU projects funded

€30 million in funding was announced last Friday by Minister Damien English and will be delivered by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Investigators Programme. The money will go to fund twenty-three projects in over fourteen institutions. Congratulations to Tia Keyes and Richard O'Kennedy who have two major projects funded as part of this announcement. Prof Keyes project will build advanced models of the cell-membrane that will help build our understanding of how Alzheimers and Cancer develop and can be treated.
