David Collings to present at Global Conference of International HRM

Professor David Collings, co-director of the Leadership & Talent Institute at DCU Business School, will present a keynote on Global Talent Management in New York on May 20th. The presentation will be at the 3rd Global Conference of International Human Resource Management organised by the Centre for International HR Studies at Penn State University. In his keynote Professor Collings will reflect on the key challenges which organisations face in managing talent on a global basis and consider the extent to which academic research can inform practice in the area. In addition to the keynote he will also participate in a practitioner workshop with senior HR leaders from Dell, Siemens and Textron and other organisations. This session will focus on the challenges which multinational organisations face in developing economies.

Professor Collings is recognised as a leading international expert in the field of global talent management. His academic work includes numerous academic publications including the Oxford Handbook of Talent Management which will be published later this year. A recent review identified him as the most cited scholar globally in the field. He also works actively with global organisations in the talent management space. His recent speaking and consulting engagements include Airbus, GE, KPMG, Medtronic, Stryker and many more. He has been ranked as one of the most influential thinkers in the field of human resource by HR Magazine for three consecutive years.
