European Throwing Cup

Three current DCU students and a recent graduate represented Ireland this weekend at the winter European Throwing Cup in Spain.

Adam King (ATT2) recorded an outstanding 61.56m (new personal best) in the Men’s Hammer, Eoin Sheridan (ATT1) had an impressive 51.76m in the Discus while Stephen Rice (ET1) opened his season with 54.93m in the Javelin. Recent SSH graduate Marco Pons recorded 48.79m in the Discus.  

Some of these athletes will join other DCU throwers Sophie Parkinson Brown (SSH4), Kayleigh Cronin (ATT2) and Anne Marie Torsney (ET2) in an intensive week of warm weather training in Spain.
