DCU Business School Masters Students shortlisted for Digital Student of the Year

Three DCU Business School Master's students have been shortlisted in the upcoming Accenture Digital Media Awards.

The Accenture DMA’s are the premier event within Ireland’s digital media sector, recognising creativity and innovation across multiple areas of the ever evolving sector which includes digital content creation, advertising and marketing, mobile media, app development, social networking, web design and development.

Malachy Callen (MSc in Digital Marketing) and Valentin Sender and Nikhil Kumar Sharma (both MSc in Business Management) have been shortlisted in the 'Digital Student of the Year' category.

This award recognises outstanding students who understand and can demonstrate the role that digital media plays in a modern company or brand. Students were tasked with developing their own digital media project for a brand of their choice in one of the following areas: social media campaign, website design/redesign project, mobile project (site optimisation or app development) or the development of a new e-business.

Judges were looking for students who could demonstrate the positive role of digital media. Three of the five shortlisted are DCU students, reflecting the high calibre of our students and the industry-relevant work that they undertake during their Master's study. The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 17th February.
