DCU play a strong role in All Ireland winning Dublin side

DCU played a strong role in the All Ireland winning Dublin panel with 14 players, who were all graduates or currents students of DCU involved in Saturday evening's All Ireland final replay when they defeated Mayo on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-14.

It was their second title in a row and fourth crown in six years with former graduate Stephen Cluxton collecting the Sam Maguire on behalf of the side.

In total there were 21 DCU graduates and students involved in both the Dublin and Mayo panels in the All-Ireland final (Sept 18th) and the replay game on Saturday, October 1st.

Mayo: Diarmuid O'Connor, Michael Hall, Conor Loftus, Patrick Durcan, Brian Reape, Rob Hennelly and Cillian O'Connor
