DCU gears up for Hackathon 2016 #HackDCU 2.0
DCU is gearing up for Hackathon 2016 when over 100 students will gather for an intensive enterprise boot-camp this coming weekend (Friday March 4th to Sunday March 6th) in DCU Alpha for the chance to win €1000 and a place on the prestigious UStart Student Accelerator programme at the DCU Ryan Academy.
Students from a range of backgrounds including engineering, technology, business and social innovation will gather at DCU Alpha on Friday evening for a monster brainstorming session before shortlisting the top ideas as part of the build series at Hackathon 2016.
On Saturday morning, participants will then be assigned to teams with each team working on creating a viable plan for bringing their idea from infancy to the marketplace. Teams will also have access to top business mentors and entrepreneurs who are attending DCU Hackathon over the course of the weekend.
The grand finale takes place on Sunday as each team battles it out when they present their idea and business plan in front of a judging panel and audience with the winning team announced that evening. For more details on Hackathon 2016 click here.
