DCU and St. Mary’s Community Hospital sign unique agreement

Professor Brian MacCraith, President of Dublin City University, Professor Anne Matthews, Head of School at DCU’s School of Nursing and Human Sciences and Mary Flanagan, Director of Nursing Care, St. Mary’s Community Hospital have signed a unique Memorandum of Understanding which will see a close collaboration between the two organisations in terms of education and research.

 

The focus of the agreement is to develop academic and educational collaboration and to promote mutual understanding between both parties. Previously developed educational resources will be shared to the benefit all stakeholders and the agreement will also encourage and facilitate ongoing research collaborations, particularly with regards to research funding opportunities.

 

Speaking at the event, Professor Brian MacCraith, President of DCU said:

 

“This special event marks a deepening of relationship between DCU and St. Mary’s , one which is based on a commonality of visions and focussed on the translation of knowledge for our society.

 

The sharing of education and research between organisations will ensure everyone involved will benefit and we look forward to continuing our work with St. Mary’s over the coming years.”
