Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneur to speak at Ryan Academy

Who: Kelsey Ramsden, founder of Belvedere Place Development & Spark Play
When: Tuesday 25th November 2014, 10am to 12:30pm
Where: DCU Ryan Academy, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24

Kelsey Ramsden is an internationally recognised, award-winning entrepreneur, cancer survivor and mother of three.  Describing herself as ‘all business, brass tacks and belly laughs’, Kelsey was named Canada's No 1 Female Entrepreneur in 2012 and 2013 by Profit Magazine.  On Tuesday 25th November, Kelsey will tell her story at DCU Ryan Academy:  how she went from wrong to all right; from outsider to on top; her top 12 truths about how to innovate; and how to identify your story, build wealth and relationships.

Kelsey founded Belvedere Place Development, a $20m business land development and construction project in 2005 and Spark Play, a monthly play subscription service for kids and their parents, in 2012.  She acts as a Mentor on the Richard Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship.  Kelsey credits her grit and determination for helping her deal with a devastating cancer prognosis in 2012 – a cancer she has since overcome. In her work she balances venom and virtue, book and street smarts, with her belief that imagination and play are powers greater than knowledge.
