SALIS hosts Pocket Cinema Festival

On 26 April in CG86 from 13.00 to 15.00 SALIS will host the second Pocket Cinema Festival.

This year, the festival will be international in nature and will include pocket films produced by undergraduate language students from Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi) and SALIS students who have been concurrently undertaking a parallel module in second language acquisition and smartphone technology from February to April 2013. Both cohorts of students have had to interpret the theme of ‘misunderstanding’.

Twelve short films (three to five minutes in length and all shot using a smartphone) will be vying for the first prize, generously funded by QuID.
