Meet the New SU Team

The three elected leaders of DCU Students' Union 2012/13 are officially in office. Paul, Aaron and Neil are now working full-time, upstairs in the Hub, to ensure the students of DCU get the most out of university life.

Paul Doherty, Students' Union President is an Environmental Science & Health student. He has just completed 3rd year and has taken a sabbatical year to fulfill his post as SU President before returning to his studies in 2013/14. Paul is a keen athlete from Donegal. Looking forward to Orientation Week, Paul said "After being in the first years' shoes before, I can't wait to help them adjust to college life and help them with any problems. I'm excited about making a change this year and representing the student voice on more serious issues like fees."

Aaron Clogher, Vice President & Education Officer, has just completed his studies in Business. Aaron is a GAA enthusiast and recipient of a GAA scholarship to study at DCU. Aaron said, "It's an honour to be elected by the student body as their representative for all things education. I'm looking forward to making new connections and making a difference."

Neil Collins, Vice President & Welfare Officer has just finished Sports Science. Neil played for DCU and currently plays senior football for Roscommon.

By consulting with students and staff of the University and speaking on the behalf of the DCU student body both locally and nationally, the elected sabbaticals are the leaders of the Students' Union; they're here to make every aspect of DCU student life better.
