DCU were the proud sponsors for the launch of the Dublin Hub of Sandbox, on April 19th in The Mansion house.

Sandbox is a global community of extraordinary achievers and innovators all under 30 years of age. The Sandbox mission is to identify exceptional young people and help them have a global impact by the time they reach 30. They do this by providing them with the tools they need to have that global impact and get their ideas off the ground. A key priority for Sandbox is to incubate their members by connecting them to peers, senior leaders, partners, investors and to the media.

Sandbox is a growing community that now has over 650 young leaders in 50 different countries across the globe. The Dublin hub ambassador is DCU graduate John Egan who was supported by DCU graduate Niamh Hughes at the launch. John is the CEO of Archipelago and CEO of Dedalus, while Niamh – now based in New York – is Head of Business Development at Folio and founder of "What'sonyourplate".
