ISS - 2013 in Numbers

Over the last year ISS has worked to provide, maintain and plan/develop the portfolio of resilient ICT systems and services which support the on-going evolution of DCU into an innovative digital campus. This evolving digital campus will, over time, considerably enhance the student experience and support our Teaching & Learning and Research activities by providing for more efficiencies, effectiveness and considerable flexibility.

  • Support for Windows XP ends: 8th April, 2014

Conferences
  • 1st Irish University to provide native IPv6 over Eduroam
  • As part of the FIA conference ISS implemented IPv6 over Eduroam as a service offering.

Future Internet Alliance Conference – May 2013

Provided IPv6, high user density Wi-Fi for over 600 conference delegates and fixed connectivity for over 30 exhibitor stands.
