The Cambridge social history of modern Ireland, edited by Eugenio Biagini and Mary Daly, was recently launched.  Heralded as 'a landmark volume in modern Irish historiography', it features chapters by three members of the School of History and Geography:

Dr Juliana Adelman:  'Feast, famine and food poverty: food in Ireland, 1740 to the present'.

Dr Will Murphy:  'Sport, associational culture and national awareness in Ireland'.

Dr Daithí Ó Corráin:  'Catholic Ireland 1740 - 2016'.
