MEng in Electronic Systems

Taught Postgraduate Majors

Four unique Majors are now available within the Masters in Electronic Systems and Masters in Telecommunications Engineering programmes. M.Eng. participants opting for one of these Majors will take four topic-specific core modules, an applied project in their field, plus four other modules available from the wide range of modules on the taught M.Eng. programme.

Masters in Electronic Systems (Internet of Things Major)

This innovative Major addresses the emergent significance of the design and networking of Internet-connected embedded devices and technologies. The Major will provide graduates with knowledge, skills and competencies in the areas of real-time signal processing, data analysis and machine learning, connected embedded systems and network programming. Masters in Electronic Systems (Nanotechnology Major)

The aim of this Major is to deliver leaders in nanoelectronics, high-level logic synthesis and photonics - strong interdisciplinary sectors with huge growth. This Major focuses on the skills and knowledge required to produce functional electronic and photonic devices and constituent structures of nanometre dimensions. Masters in Electronic Systems (Image Processing & Analysis Major)

The growth of applications in manufacturing, biomedicine, media, ICT and the life sciences is creating a strong demand for graduates in the Image Processing & Analysis field. Masters in Telecommunications Engineering (Network Implementation Major)

Graduates with this Major will be equipped with the skills and expertise required to implement tomorrow’s networking protocols on network devices and user equipment.
