What is Ready, Set, DCU?

Ready, Set, DCU is a unique one day orientation programme exclusive to students entering DCU through the DARE scheme.

It takes place the week before student orientation at DCU, for 2016 the following dates apply:

  • Tuesday 6th September : Glasnevin Campus - DCUBS & Humanities Programmes
  • Wednesday 7th September: Glasnevin Campus -  Nursing & Health Performance; Engineering, Computing 
  • Thursday 8th September: St. Patrick's Campus - Education Programmes

What will I gain from it?

Ready, Set, DCU is an opportunity to meet your classmates and make friends with students who also have the experience of studying with a disability. You can find out about how the Disability and Learning Support Service can support you during your time as a student at DCU, and you can get to know the staff team. All students who attend Ready, Set, DCU will receive an e-certificate for their Loop Portfolio - a record of achievements that students build during their time in DCU.

Does it cost anything?

No. Free of charge!

How do I sign up!?

If you have been offered a place at DCU and applied through the DARE scheme we will contact you directly to offer you a place on the programme.

If you are a FETAC student or mature student with a disability and would like to attend please send us an email.
