Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visits Dublin City University

DCU Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction hosted visit to discuss the lessons that can be learned from the Northern Ireland Peace Process for peacemaking in Kosovo and the Western Balkans

Dublin City University's  President Professor Dáire Keogh welcomed Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, Deputy Foreign Minister Liza Gashi and Ambassador Ilir Kapiti to DCU's Glasnevin campus today with colleagues from DCU's Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction. 

The group also included Rudinë Jakupi, a PhD student in the DCU School of Law and Government, and Ardit Hoxha, a DCU Bachelor of Civil Law graduate and member of the DCU Alumni community, along with advisor to the Prime Minister, Lulezon Jagxhiu, and Deputy Minister for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Edona Maloku Berdyna. 

 

Visit to DCU campus

DCU's Vice President for Research John Doyle and Gezim Visoka, Associate Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at DCU's School of Law and Government, spoke with the delegation about the lessons that can be learned from the Northern Ireland Peace Process for peacemaking in Kosovo and the Western Balkans. Laura Mahoney, Executive Director of Engagement at DCU, also spoke about further engagement opportunities between DCU and Kosovo.
