Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Lifelong Learning in Higher Education Project is a HCI national initiative and is a collaboration between the IUA Universities, and Technological Universities.  It aims to build a consistent and coherent approach to recognition of prior learning (RPL) within and across the entire public higher education (HE) sector.

DCU is an active member of the RPL project and the DCU RPL Working Group has been meeting regularly to strengthen, and bring greater transparency and clarity, to the RPL process in DCU.

Target Audience:
The session is aimed at Programme Chairs, and other interested academics are very welcome to attend.  No prior knowledge of RPL is assumed.  Given the very busy time of year, colleagues are invited to attend in-person or join the session online.  A set of resources will be made available after the session for those colleagues who are unable to attend on the day.

The aims of the programme are to:

The session will give an overview of RPL, the national RPL initiative and the steps involved in the RPL process.  There will be a chance to ask questions as well.
